Philippe Roy, M.SC.

Director, Planning and Regional Developement

Philippe is passionate about regional development. He joined DEV in 2009 as a rural development officer, then as one of our territorial development advisors, and now is director, Planning and Regional Developement. Before coming to DEV, he had his own strategic planning business, worked as a community organizer in a CLSC, served as a land-use planning advisor for the Havre de Montréal, and was a consultant in a small business where he directed over 50 organizational diagnostics and development plans. With an M.Sc. in geography, Philippe enjoys analyzing and monitoring development trends in his native region. Twice he was a finalist in the competition for rural development officer of the year. He has developed considerable expertise in coaching project proponents and in putting together projects that inject vitality into our communities.
