Discover the territory

A vast territory (855 km²) west of Montréal, at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is made up of 23 widely diversified municipalities, 11 of which are part of the Montreal Metropolitan Community. A true convergence point, Vaudreuil-Soulanges offers a diversity of living environments, business opportunities and leisure activities to meet the needs of its dynamic population. Growth in Vaudreuil-Soulanges has been particularly marked over the past 20 years. Whether in terms of demographics, the world of work, culture or language, the changes that have taken place are manifold.

By analyzing statistics from a variety of data sources, we can gain a better understanding of the community in which we live. The socio-economic profile is therefore intended as a working and interpretation tool to support decision-making.

To facilitate this analysis, a geographic breakdown of the territory was carried out. The socio-economic profile thus shows the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges as a whole, the affinity sectors as groupings and the municipalities as basic entities.
