Launched on March 25, the geolocated business directory unveils new functions to meet the needs of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges population during the pandemic. Vaudreuil-Soulanges is one of the first MRCs in Quebec to make this type of tool available, which allows users to search according to the company’s operating status. This interactive map developed by Développement Vaudreuil-Soulanges (DEV) facilitates access to products sold on our territory and contributes to collective efforts to promote local buying.

Recall that this platform was in development until recently and was to be launched to the general public in June. Thus, anyone who notices missing or erroneous information in the directory is asked to contact us by email at territoirevs@developpementvs.com.

Already used to promote local merchants, the Facebook page « Achat local Vaudreuil-Soulanges » becomes the favored platform to help retailers to promote their products and services. Merchants are therefore invited to broadcast their various services to citizens by sharing opening hours, delivery offers, their online stores, etc.

Coop-CSUR, in collaboration with DEV Vaudreuil-Soulanges, helps supporting the business community by inviting regional businesses and artisans to sell their products on its transactional web platform, the Ecolocal Market.

Businesses will therefore be able to benefit from the distribution network of the ecolocal market and consumers will benefit from a website bringing together a large number of producers, artisans and retailers in Vaudreuil-Soulanges!

In order to discuss good business practices and share about the challenges and issues experienced by people working in the retail sector, DEV has created a private Facebook group, also managed by devoted and committed merchants. This group allows everyone to create partnerships, in a mutual aid context and open discussions.
