The 7 million-square-foot industrial area is located outside Vaudreuil-Dorion’s urban perimeter, along Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard and Montée Labossière, west of Highway 30. Previously, zoning allowed companies that could generate both visual and sound nuisances to operate there. The construction of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital has led to the development of a health hub, promoting the sustainable development of the living environment and the reclassification of the area as an ecopark.

The office building known as “Le 1 000 Saint-Charles” serves as a prominent landmark at the park’s entrance.

Support to accelerate industrial symbiosis

Industrial symbiosis systems, established in conjunction with Synergie Québec, are networks of diverse organizations that exchange resources, waste, water, energy and innovations, thus contributing to a circular economy.

DEV supports Comité 21 Vaudreuil-Soulanges as part of a region-wide project to inventory all sources of waste supply and demand. Using this inventory, it will be possible to identify potential synergies between companies. The objectives are simple: reduce the environmental footprint of industrial operations while optimizing their economic and social impacts.
